I'm Rachel, and I photograph the beautiful and sometimes wonderfully chaotic bond we share with our dogs, creating natural, meaningful photographs that celebrate the place they hold in our hearts and homes.

How It Works…
Step One - Lets Talk
Schedule a quick call (here) so I can hear all about your wonderful family – furry and human! It's a chance for you to get to know me, chat about your dog and make sure I'm the right photographer for you.
If you feel I’m a good fit, we'll choose a date and location that works for you, taking into account the season and whether your dog needs to stay on the lead.
Once you're booked in, I'll send you everything you need to know, including ideas on what to wear and how to get the very best from your photography session.
Step Two - The Session
Let’s capture the real spirit of your dog and family. We’ll meet for a truly relaxed walk in a beautiful location, and I’ll guide you and your dog as needed to create stunning photographs. No need for stiff poses and no need to worry if the kids want to run and jump or your dog gets zoomies!
Sessions usually last between 60 - 90 minutes, but I don’t want anyone to feel pressured or hurried, so I am happy to spend longer with you if needed.
Step Three - For Your Home
Come to my cosy, purpose-built viewing room in Sheffield (with free parking right outside) and enjoy the magic of seeing your photographs come to life on the big screen.
Together, we'll choose your favourite images and create beautiful wall art and stunning albums that you'll treasure for years to come – pieces you'll love seeing in your home and looking through time and time again.

Hi there, I’m Rachel…
I have over 20 years of photographic experience and a genuine passion for capturing the special connections between people and animals.
My photography career began in a busy high street studio, photographing families, weddings and commercial work. But I soon discovered that my heart was outdoors, where people and dogs can relax, explore and simply be themselves. I went on to build my own photography business, capturing families and their furry companions in the beautiful landscapes around Sheffield and the Peak District.
My work has been trusted by organisations including Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Sheffield, Jeep, the RSPCA, Support Dogs and Mayflower Sanctuary. I've also taught hundreds of people to get more from their own cameras, including in Kenya, where I organised and led wildlife photography safaris.
Over the last two decades, I've photographed thousands of people and hundreds of dogs, so you can feel confident that you're in experienced hands. I'm used to working with all sorts of personalities, from camera-shy people to dogs who would rather chase a squirrel than look at the camera!
I love capturing the extraordinary bond we share with our dogs – the little looks, the familiar quirks, the unconditional love and all those moments that make them such an important part of our families.

Not at all. Although I always recommend having a few photographs together, simply because the bond you share is such a special part of their story, I completely understand if you’d rather stay behind the scenes.
You can help me get your dog in position while I photograph them, and I can blur you out or carefully edit you from the final images altogether.

Absolutely! All dogs from the same household are very welcome.
We can capture them together, individually, and with you too if you’d like. Every dog has their own personality, so I’ll make sure each of them gets their moment to shine.

Perfectly normal — I have a Springer Spaniel, so I know all about dogs who have better things to do than sit still!
I’ve photographed hundreds of dogs over the years, with all kinds of personalities and energy levels. Your dog doesn’t need to be perfectly trained or sit beautifully on command. The session is relaxed, and I’ll work with their personality rather than expecting them to behave like a professional model.
Zoomies are always welcome!

Absolutely. Every dog is different, and there’s never any pressure for them to behave in a particular way.
Before your session, we’ll talk about your dog, what makes them comfortable, anything they find worrying and the kind of environment they’re happiest in. We can then carefully plan the location and session around them, giving them plenty of time and space to settle.
Their wellbeing will always my top priority and comes before getting a photograph.

My sessions are all about getting outdoors and making the most of the beautiful landscapes we have right on our doorstep, so sessions normally take place in the Peak District or amongst Sheffield’s gorgeous woodlands.
We’ll choose the location carefully based on your dog, the time of year and whether they need to stay on a lead, so we have the best possible setting for your photographs.
If your dog is very poorly or unable to comfortably go out, please talk to me. We can discuss what would be most appropriate for them.

Absolutely! What better way to remember your time in the Peak District than with beautiful photographs of you and your dog surrounded by its incredible scenery?
Please get in touch as soon as you’ve finalised your holiday dates. We’ll arrange your session for a day that works for you, and if possible, keep a backup date free too — just in case the wonderful British weather decides not to cooperate!

The session fee is £175, which includes £100 credit towards your chosen wall art or album.
Beautiful, professionally hand-made wall art starts from £350, with most clients spending between £350 and £800 on their finished artwork.
There’s no expectation for you to decide what you’d like beforehand. After your session, you’ll see your photographs properly, and I’ll help you choose the pieces that will work beautifully in your home.

My photography is designed to become part of your home — something you can see and enjoy every day, rather than photographs that end up forgotten on a USB stick or lost amongst thousands of other images on your phone.
That’s why I specialise in beautiful wall art and albums, created to preserve these memories for years to come.
Matching digital files are included with all artwork ordered, so you’ll have the best of both worlds: beautiful photographs to enjoy in your home and digital copies to keep.

Living on the edge of the Peak District means we’re rather used to unpredictable weather!
If the weather isn’t going to give us the conditions we need to create beautiful photographs, we’ll simply rearrange your session for another day. I want you to have photographs you absolutely love, so there’s no point battling through miserable weather just for the sake of it.
